Rod Crane graduated from the University of Sioux Falls with a BA degree in Education in 1968, the University of Minnesota Graduate School of Health Care Administration in 1983, the University of Minnesota School of Management of International Business in 1992 and the University of Minnesota/Mayo Clinic School of Management Advanced Studies in Leadership and Health Care Management in 2000. He was formerly the Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer at Sioux Valley Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD, President/CEO of Critical Care Services, Inc., St. Paul, MN and provided national and international health care industry consulting services prior to joining MedFlight at its inception in 1995.
Rod serves as a board member for the American Red Cross and is a member of the Ohio Ambulance Association and the Association of Air Medical Service. He is a past board member of Mercy Medical Airlift in Manassas, VA and the EMS Institute in St. Paul, MN.
As a leader in the national and international air ambulance industry, Mr. Crane has consulted for the American Medical Clinic in Moscow and for the World Health Alliance under the sponsorship of Omniflight helicopters for the provision of medical care in remote areas of the world.
