MedComm is a state of the art communications center in which we incorporate the latest technology to assist our team in providing the most efficient overall service while strongly focusing on safety.

MedComm is equipped with four Motorola consoles with built in Motorola Digital 800MHz, Ericsson 800Mhz, VHF and UHF modules, providing us the ability to communicate state-wide and beyond.  We utilize automated vehicle locator (AVL) and satellite global positioning system (GPS) to track and monitor all of our transport vehicles.  All transport requests and missions are entered in a Computer Aided Dispatch program. MedFlight’s telephone switch provides our center with a dedicated 15 line communication system. In addition we utilize alpha numeric text paging along with direct connect cellular services.  For Quality Assurance and immediate recall all of our verbal communications via two-way radio or telephone are recorded and retrievable by our computerized audio recording system.  To assist us in locating scene locations and/or providing driving directions we use a computerized mapping program to assist our team. Weather radar and computerized weather reporting stations are available to assist our team.
