MedFlight was founded in 1995 and is a not-for-profit company with a mission to transport the critically ill and injured and our vision of being the primary provider of critical care transportation in Ohio is accomplished by our excellent partners.

Are you one of us?
Our unique field of work attracts a special kind of talent. You
must have emergency medical and/or critical care experience,
that’s a given. But you also must be able to think on your feet
and be confident in the decisions you make. Are you able to
quickly assess an emergency situation and work with others
to solve problems as they arise? The level of maturity required here cannot be stressed enough.
Regarding specific experience and training, the following is
what we are looking for:
Paramedic: Five years active experience as EMT-P, ACLS
and BLS certifications required. BTLS and PALS or PEPP
required within six months of hire. NRP required within one
year of hire. Instructor rating in one of the above courses within six months of hire. Special Topics Instructor within 30 days of hire. Critical care experience preferred. A driving record that is acceptable to our insurance carrier.
RN: Five years verifiable adult critical care experience in an
acute tertiary care center and/or ER experience; Swan/A-
Line/IABP/Ventilator exp; ACLS and BLS certifications required. Must complete PALS or PEPP and BTLS within six
months of hire. Must complete NRP and EMT-B course within
one year of hire. Instructor rating in one of the above courses within six months of hire. Special Topics Instructor within 30 days of hire.
Communications Specialist: Multi-task oriented with experience in the health care field, preferably in an area of communications. Must possess excellent communications skills both
written and verbal. Computer literacy is a significant plus.
EMT certification and familiarity with medical terminology is
preferred.

day, and we’re fully aware that the team is what makes it
happen.
Maybe that’s not a question you are asked very often, but at
MedFlight, we believe compassion is a fundamental value of
people who provide the best medical care. You have a sincere desire to help others but you also have an instinct for
saying and doing the right things when a crisis is at hand.
Whether you are assigned to one of our Mobile Intensive
Care Units (MICUs) or our Helicopters you should know that the same standard of performance applies. The people who are happiest here are competent in their profession, confident in the services they provide, and are genuine about the people they care for. Familial Partners
As of March 1, 2007, it is against policy for two individuals who meet the definition of being Close Family Members* from being employed by MedFlight of Ohio. (Includes independent contractors, consultants or leased employees who perform services for MedFlight) No employment offers will be extended to any Close Family Member of a current partner. If two current partners come to meet the definition of Close Family Members following March 1, 2007 (i.e., due to marriage, personal relationship, etc.) one of the partners will be asked to resign. If neither partner volunteers to resign, management will terminate one of the partners at management’s discretion.
*Close family members of partners include, spouse, children, siblings, parents, grandparents, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, spouse’s children, spouse’s siblings, spouse’s parents, spouse’s grandparents and grandchildren, (including previous and current relationships), any person residing in the same household as the partner, or any person having a romantic and/or sexual relationship with a partner.
