Holidays

Partners will be paid 1 ½ times their hourly base rate for all hours worked on any of MedFlight’s eight (8) designated holidays. Partners .45 or higher may request 8 hrs. of PTO per holiday whether or not they worked on the holiday.

Staff Employees:
0-3 years – accrue 160 hours* per calendar year
3-6 years – accrue 200 hours* per calendar year
>6 years – accrue 224 hours* per calendar year

Management Employees:
Accrue 240 hours* per calendar year

* These numbers are for full-time staff, part-time staff accrue on a pro-rated basis.

.9 or 1.0 FTE after completion of Introductory Period

.45 > .9 FTE accrue PTO on a pro-rated basis after completion of Introductory Period

Sick Leave

Accrue 48 hours* per calendar year to be used for personal illness or injury or to care for an immediate family member due to illness or injury

Employee Assistance Program

Confidential counseling service for personal problems for employees and their immediate family (three free sessions per year for employee and each member of immediate family)

Short Term Disability

24 weeks of coverage at 60% of weekly earnings after 13 day waiting period

.45 FTE or above eligible after 30 days of employment

Long Term Disability

60% of weekly earnings after six months of disability – coverage continues to age 67

Life Insurance

Life insurance equal to two times annual base salary

Accidental Death /Dismemberment Insurance

Lump sum payment up to a maximum of annual salary for bodily injuries which are covered under schedule of insured losses

Professional Liability Insurance

Employer provided medical professional liability insurance for acts within the scope of employment or while performing duties related to MedFlight’s business

All medical crew employees are eligible upon hire

Vision Insurance

Voluntary insurance through Vision Service Plan for eye exams, frames, contacts, etc.

.45 FTE or above eligible after 30 days of employment

Medical Insurance

Medical insurance is provided through Medical Mutual of Ohio and is available for employees and their dependents.

.45 FTE or above eligible first of the month following hire

Dental Insurance

Dental Insurance is provided through Ameritas and is available for employees and their dependents.

.45 FTE or above eligible first of the month following hire and only if enrolled in health insurance

Company Funded Pension Plan

Employer contributes an amount equal to 6% of employee’s salary into pension plan. Employee is 100% vested after five years of service in which they worked a minimum of 1,000 hours.

All employees who are 21 years of age who work 1,000 hours or more a year, eligible after one year of employment

Employer contributes 6% of salary. No cost to employees

Voluntary 403b Pension Plans

Employees may contribute to 403b pension plan in addition to Company funded plan. Contributions are taken through payroll deductions. The affiliated companies are VALIC, Aetna, and Copeland.

Uniforms

MedFlight designated uniforms will be provided for all medical crew and communications staff (e.g., uniform shirts, sweater, jackets)

Employee must return uniform at time of separation or will be charged cost of uniform

Education Assistance

Full-time medical crew (.9 or 1.0 FTE) can receive $250.00 per calendar year and 24 hrs of “clinical” time for conferences registration fees and expenses.

Upon completion of Introductory (probationary) period.

AFLAC

Employees may choose to elect from a variety supplemental insurances.

Upon hire to all employees with FTE of .45 or above

Flexible Spending Account

Employees can elect to have insurance premiums deducted on a pre-tax basis. May also elect pre-tax deductions for dependent care reimbursement and/or unreimbursed medical expenses.
