MedFlight of Ohio offers 24 hour emergency and non emergency air ambulance services throughout the world. Safely transporting patients from bedside-to-bedside, with the highest level of care, in a cost-effective manner is the key to successful patient transportation. At MedFlight of Ohio, we incorporate this philosophy into our daily operations.
To assist you in selecting the appropriate and cost effective air ambulance service, The Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS) recommends that you limit your risk and insure a safe patient transport by asking the following questions of any potential service provider.
Within 45 minutes of a request, our team can be airborne and enroute to your destination. A MedFlight medical team accompanies the patient from bedside-to-bedside. When we arrive at the airport, we have an ambulance available because continuity of patient care is our priority.
Although we are committed to rapid and cost-effective transportation, our primary concern is patient care. Our aircraft are equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and highly-trained medical teams. MedFlight medical teams have extensive experience in intensive and coronary care, open heart recovery, cardiac catheterization labs, and emergency departments; advanced airway techniques and hemodynamic monitoring; specialized training in altitude physiology; extensive teaching skills for the coronary or surgical patient and specialized training in pediatrics.
Our medical team transports patients safely and rapidly to their destinations throughout the world. To enhance our service and streamline our response time, depending on the specific situation, the configuration of our team can be modified to accommodate each situation. Our team routinely consists of a flight nurse, flight paramedic and two pilots. We also have physicians who are accessible to the flight team at any time.
Because of its dependability, pressurized cabin and easy access for the patients, Medflight's primary fixed-wing aircraft is the King Air B200 and C90 turboprop aircraft. These aircraft allow us to routinely utilize 3500 foot runways which can get us into smaller local community airports to decrease our ground time with the patient. The aircraft is loaded with a standard size breakaway loading stretcher. With our jet partners we have the capability for worldwide patient transportation.
