OUR MISSION:  To transport the critically ill and injured

Air Medical Airplane Division
Accompanying the Patient

MedFlight prides itself on being a family friendly organization. If at all possible, on our air ambulance trips, a family member or significant other may accompany the patient at no additional cost. The medical team and pilots will make final decision based on patient condition, the need for additional equipment or staff and weigh and balance of the aircraft.

Luggage Specifications

Space on board the aircraft is very limited due to the medical interior and the large amount of equipment on board. Luggage is limited to 1 (one) carry on size bag for the passenger. A small bag for the patient will also be permitted. All other luggage may be shipped prior to transport. MedFlight will be glad to assist in arranging the shipment of excess baggage. All costs associated with excess baggage will be the responsibility of the passenger.

Required Documentation to travel

Everyone traveling within the United States will be required to provide the following information prior to departure:

  • Full Name
  • Relationship to patient
  • Date of birth
  • Social Security number
  • Government issued ID (drivers license)
