Mobile Intensive Care Unit

Our mobile intensive care (MICU) teams transport patients safely and rapidly to their destinations.  To enhance our services, while decreasing our response time, we offer a team consisting of an experienced critical care nurse, critical care paramedic, and paramedic driver.  All are on hand when you call. 

Our nurses may have multiple certifications to include the following:

• Critical Care RN
• Certified Emergency RN
• Certified Flight RN
• Emergency Medical Technician

Our paramedics are EMT-P qualified and may have multiple certifications to include the following:

• Certified Flight Paramedic
• Critical Care Paramedic Certification
• Emergency Medical Services Instructor

All medical teams must have a minimum of 5 (five) years critical care experience or 5 years street experience for the paramedic. All maintain current status in the following:

• Basic Life Support
• Advanced Life Support
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)
• Annual recurrent education to include Flight physiology and Air Medical Resource Management

MedFlight medical teams have experience in intensive and coronary car, open heart recovery, cardiac catheterization labs, and emergency departments; advanced airway techniques and hemodynamic monitoring; extensive teaching skills for the coronary or surgical patient, and specialized training in pediatrics.
