Public Safety Personnel:
EMTs, Firefighters, Law Enforcement Officers, State Highway Patrol, and Department of Natural Resources Officers who are working for a 911 service which utilizes MedFlight’s services, are invited to come spend the day. Working closely with those who call us for scene work is a vital part of maintaining safety when working around the helicopter. Personnel are eligible to ride on ride on either the helicopter or the MICU. The weight limit for the helicopter is 200lbs.
Hospital Personnel:
Physicians and nurses working in Emergency Departments and Critical Care Units (ICU, CCU, SICU) are invited to come spend the day with MedFlight. Physicians and nurses are eligible to ride on the helicopter or MICU. The weight limit for the helicopter is 200lbs.
Medical and Nursing Students:
Medical, Nursing, and Paramedic students are encouraged to join our MICU crews for a day and gain a better understanding of critical care transportatio, and in their final year of study may be permitted to fly with our helicopter crews.
