Our medical helicopter teams transport patients safely and rapidly to their destinations, completing over 4,000 patient transports each year. To enhance our services, while decreasing our response time, we offer a team consisting of an experienced flight nurse, flight paramedic and pilot. All are on hand when you call.
Our flight nurses may have multiple certifications to include the following:
- Critical Care RN
- Certified Emergency RN
- Certified Flight RN
- Emergency Medical Technician
Our flight paramedics are EMT-P qualified and may have multiple certifications to include the following:
- Certified Flight Paramedic
- Critical Care Paramedic Certification
- Emergency Medical Services Instructor
All medical teams must have a minimum of 5 (five) years critical care experience or 5 years street experience for the paramedic. All maintain current status in the following:
- Basic Life Support
- Advanced Life Support
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)
- Annual recurrent education to include Flight physiology and Air Medical Resource Management
Our pilots are trained to provide safety, comfort and support essential to injured and ill patients.
