Chief Officers


Mike began his career with a county EMS organization in 1993. During his time with this 911 service he served as a paramedic, training officer, and field supervisor. The EMS service was ultimately privatized in 1999. Shortly thereafter, he was asked to serve as the EMS Director and remained in that role until 2008. During his tenure with the county service, he also provided management oversight for an ambulance company in Lodi, Ohio and a pediatric transport team in Akron, Ohio. In 2008, he became the base director and held a flight paramedic position for MedFlight 6 in southern Ohio. During that time, he also completed his undergraduate degree in Business Management. The base director position ultimately evolved into a regional director position and oversight of three helicopter bases and one ground base in southern Ohio. In 2015 Mike completed his Masters of Business Management in Healthcare Administration and was promoted to the role of Vice President of Field Operations for MedFlight.
Mike serves as a board member for MedCare Ambulance in central Ohio. He is a member of the America College of Healthcare Executives and is a Certified Medical Transport Executive, under the Association of Air Medical Services, where he also serves as an instructor. He has presented in multiple venues and regularly presents both regionally and nationally. Mike also consults nationally on a vast array of topics involving revenue stream, unit hour utilization, employee engagement, medical transport system design, and the importance of safety in the industry.
Mike resides in eastern Ohio with his family where he enjoys hunting, fishing, outdoor activities, and beekeeping.

Tara earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mount Carmel College of Nursing in 1994. She has been a Certified Critical Care Nurse through the American Association of Critical Care Nurses since 1996. Tara is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and is a past president of the Greater Raleigh Chapter of the AACN. Tara is also a member of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses and the Association for Nursing Professional Development.
Tara lives in Marion with her husband Jim and their two children.
